Halkidiki is a fabulous holiday destination in Northern Greece, hosting yearly thousands of tourists from all over the world. The settlement of Sarti, located on the eastern side of the Sithonia peninsula, is a favourite vacation spot for those who want a relaxing and peaceful holiday, next to one of the finest beaches in Halkidiki. It is an ideal place not only for summer holidays, but also during May and September, when the sea is lovely, there is no Meltemi wind and it is quieter, as the major tourist crowds have either not arrived yet or have already departed. In the spring and the autumn, the waters of Mt. Athos are full of fresh fish and the fruit trees abound with figs, grapes and almonds.
